Incorrect, incorrect. Beginners should never use water stones. Diamond stones are a better choice for beginners. The red head has no idea what he is talking about.

Will, my wife grew up in Kolsva, where your anvil was made. The first hammer mill forge was established there in 1548, and there is still an ironworks where casting and machining are done today. We could probably arrange for a tour if you ever make it over here. The town is just under two hours west of Stockholm.

Those are extremely poor quality potatoes... We call them water bags. Were they frozen or kept in a very cold fridge at one time, perhaps? Only the outer 1/4" just below the skin is useable... Not worth the effort to try to save.

A wooden door manufacturer I worked for had something like this that could do 10 at a time. They used it for door panels with lions and dragons and other designs. The problem was the original designs looked terrible and nothing like what they where supposed to be. 😂

What about that spring you replaced with the lighter one on the side. Perhaps now everything is connected properly it does need the heavier spring it had?

You have the majority of tools used in general purpose machine shops, which also uses surface grinders for precision. Will you get into more machining? Or are you mostly knives? Wouldn't mind seeing you broaden your horizons and make more shop tools from scratch. Also replica props from movies or games would be fun content. Where is your Damascus steel lightsaber build? 😉

First time watching your video. I've passed it up a few times and finally decided to watch it. I'm glad I did. I love history and the different anvils you concentrated on. I also enjoyed your commentary during your tour.

I'm in 100% agreement that if the ads let me get 60% off... or 4 knives for the price of 2... I don't want any of them. If you can sell them that cheaply, you should do that instead. If this is a chef's knife replacement, the heavy texture is going to be difficult to keep clean of all the food products you cut with it. Transferring bacteria from one item to the next sounds like a really bad idea.

They don't even stick their finger in the hole while using it most of the time, yet they make a big deal about it being an advantage on the grip? In their own video? Not very good marketing.

That's the most intense marketing for the worst knife I've ever seen. Nobody in the ad is even using the hole in the blade, lol. That knife screams "I was made in a Pakistani garage", and my bet is it's not even exactly the same knife in every box.

When they first advertised this piece of crap, you could even see on the photos that there was a burr on that hole in the blade. It would be red around the perimeter if you made some cuts with it with your index finger through the hole. And for your conclusion: it's a minus 20 on a scale from zero to five. Just ordered two chinese kitchen knives from Aliexpress for 10.55 each that I expect to be much better. I already have one one these (cleaver shape but not for chopping) and I really love it, it was like 15€ incl. shipping.
